Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a school, coaching, youth work, tutoring, or similar setting.
• Confident and professional with strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Degree or relevant experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of the classroom teacher.
• Delivering pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive, purposeful learning environment.
• Supporting pupils to remain engaged and complete the work set by the class teacher.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, participation, and respect within the classroom.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement, progress, and behaviour.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff to support continuity of learning.
• Following school behaviour, safeguarding, and attendance policies at all times.
