Milk Education in Gateshead is recruiting a Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools on a long-term, short-term, or day-to-day basis from September. You will supervise classes and deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4, while maintaining positive behaviour and engagement.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children or young people within a school, coaching, youth work, tutoring, or similar setting.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills.

• Ability to confidently lead a classroom, follow school policies, and work collaboratively with teaching staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of the classroom teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task throughout lessons.
• Building positive relationships with students to promote confidence, participation, and a respectful learning environment.
• Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement, behaviour, and lesson outcomes.
