Job summary

Milk Education in Newcastle is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a Primary School on a long- or short-term basis starting in September. You will supervise classes, deliver pre-planned lessons and support pupils in maintaining focus.

This role offers flexible days, supportive leadership, and access to Milk Education's training via Milk Academy, with 24/7 consultant support and a safe safeguarding environment.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with the work provided.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide guidance and support to pupils while encouraging independent learning.
• Monitor pupil progress, record attendance, and provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes, behaviour, and any issues that arise.

• Organised, adaptable, and able to work independently, responding confidently to changing situations and covering a variety of subjects.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
