Job summary

Limehurst Academy, part of the East Midlands Education Trust, is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team. You will deliver lessons for absent colleagues, support students, and work as part of a five-person cover team under an experienced cover manager.

The role begins on 26 October 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter) and is term-time only, 39 weeks per year, 30 hours per week (8:40am - 3:10pm). DBS checks and safeguarding compliance are required.

Qualifications

This post is a crucial one to the school. We are looking for a brilliant cover supervisor, who will deliver lessons on behalf of absent colleagues. You will be part of the five-person cover team, which is very ably led by the experienced cover manager. Time management skills, patience and a good work ethic are essential, as are excellent interpersonal skills. The job description will give you further details about what we require.

Results in 2025 and 2026 remain strong. Over 50% of our students achieved a Grade 5+ in English & Maths. 41% of our SEN students achieved a Grade 4+ in English & Maths. As has been the case for many years now, all of our headline measures are well above national averages. We are committed to improving yet again this academic year, and we are determined to do so. Our parents and the local community are extremely supportive of the school.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post, will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
