Job summary

Philip Morant School and College in Colchester is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support classes in the absence of a teacher and maintain high standards of behaviour for learning.

You will supervise whole classes, leave accurate reports, and assist with longer term absences and school activities, contributing to the ongoing improvement journey within The Sigma Trust. The role offers term-time flexibility and opportunities to collaborate with staff across the Trust.

This role will support classes in the absence of a teacher, ensuring that good standards of behaviour for learning are met and that students engage in the work set. The cover supervisor will support students to ensure they can be “the best they can be.”

  • The successful candidate will work 31.25 hours per week, 8:05am - 3:05pm Monday to Friday (including a 45-minute unpaid break).
  • This is a 39-week-per-year role, which includes term time and non-pupil days. (term time plus non-pupil days).
A Day in the Life:
