Job summary

TeacherActive is building a strong local cover team for secondary schools across Salisbury and South Wiltshire, including Amesbury and surrounding communities. We seek experienced Cover Supervisors who can walk into a class and take control calmly, delivering work left by the class teacher.

Ideal candidates have strong behaviour management, excellent communication and reliability, with flexibility to travel to schools within the South Wiltshire area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising classes in a UK secondary school or comparable relevant classroom experience
• Strong behaviour management and the confidence to manage whole classes
• The ability to follow lesson plans and instructions across a range of subjects
• Excellent communication, reliability and professionalism
• Flexibility to travel to schools within your agreed South Wiltshire area

Responsibilities

• Deliver work left by the class teacher and manage student behaviour
• Maintain pupil focus and ensure lessons stay productive
• Travel to schools within the South Wiltshire area as required

Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor who can walk into a secondary classroom and take control calmly and professionally?

Do you have strong classroom and behaviour management skills?

Do you hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle?

TeacherActive is building a strong local cover team for secondary schools across Salisbury and South Wiltshire, including Amesbury, Durrington, Tidworth, Wilton, Downton, the Stonehenge area and surrounding communities.

I am looking for experienced Cover Supervisors who understand what good cover looks like: setting expectations from the outset, delivering work left by the class teacher, keeping pupils focused and ensuring the lesson remains productive.

This is ideal for experienced school Cover Supervisors, experienced supply staff, graduates with substantial secondary classroom experience, instructors or other education professionals who are confident managing classes independently. Work can range from occasional flexible days to regular weekly supply and longer-term cover assignments.

My aim is to build a dependable South Wiltshire team that schools can ask for repeatedly, so reliability, classroom presence and a genuine ability to work with young people are essential.

The successful candidate will have:
