Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor for a mainstream secondary setting in Oxfordshire. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, supervise classes across the secondary age range and maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement throughout the day.

This long-term role offers flexible day-to-day work, competitive daily rates (£110–£150), and full PAYE payroll with robust onboarding support, CPD opportunities and referral benefits.

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School based in Oxfordshire. The school provides a supportive learning environment with a focus on maintaining high expectations and encouraging students to engage positively with their education.

The school is looking for a Cover Supervisor for long‑term placements, with flexible day‑to‑day work also available. The successful Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across the secondary age range, deliver pre‑planned work, manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain focused and engaged with their learning.

The successful Cover Supervisor will have:

• Experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting

• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

• Confidence delivering pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects

• Excellent communication and organisational skills

• A flexible and adaptable approach

• A positive can‑do attitude
