Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to support trusted secondary schools across Runcorn. You will deliver pre-set work and maintain a positive learning environment when a teacher is absent.

Ideal candidates will have Cache Level 2/3 or experience with young people, strong behaviour management, and flexibility to work across subjects and year groups.

Qualifications

• Cache Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, or a minimum of 6 months' experience working with young people
• Confidence in managing classes of students aged 11 to 16
• Excellent classroom engagement and behaviour management skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
• Flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups
• A positive, proactive and adaptable approach

Responsibilities

Salary: £100 - £120 per day

Responsibilities

Our Cover Supervisors play a vital role in keeping students engaged and learning when their usual teacher is absent. Working on a day-to-day, long‑term or full‑time basis, you will deliver pre‑set work, maintain excellent classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment. This role does not involve planning or marking, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain valuable experience in secondary education.
