Job summary

CER Education are expanding our team of Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Rotherham and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, explore different school settings, and support students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

We are seeking reliable, engaging candidates with a good understanding of the national curriculum and strong behaviour management skills to ensure learning continues in the absence of the class teacher.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a secondary school or youth setting.
• Good understanding of the national curriculum.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence managing classroom behaviour.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Delivering pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring high‑quality learning continues in the absence of the class teacher.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Encouraging student participation and engagement during lessons

About You

• Ability to drive is preferred, or reliable access to public transport
