Job summary

CER Education is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across a range of local schools in the Sunderland area. You will step into classrooms to keep lessons on track in the absence of the teacher.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with classroom or training experience to gain school-based experience or progress toward a career in teaching. Roles can be day-to-day, short-term, or long-term across multiple schools.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a classroom, training, or similar environment (essential).
• Confident communication and strong classroom presence.
• Ability to manage behaviour effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervising pre-set lessons across a variety of subjects.
• Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students on task.
• Supporting pupils with their learning where required.
• Ensuring a safe and productive classroom environment.
• Working across different schools (day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles available).
