Eastfield Academy in Northampton is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our primary school community. You will supervise classes during teacher absences, liaise with teachers, and ensure clear instructions are followed.

The role is 13 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, fixed-term until 31 August 2027, with salary on NJC pay scale and pro-rata adjustments. We offer Local Government Pension Scheme and flexible working patterns.

Competenze

  • GCSE English and Maths at A* to C or equivalent.
  • An accomplished user of ICT.
  • Excellent clear verbal and written interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.

Eastfield Academy is excited to recruit a Cover Supervisor to join our award winning primary school.

You will join our team to provide cover supervision for children across our community focused primary school.

Your role will be to provide cover supervision, as directed by the Principal & senior Leaders to supervise students in their work during the absence of their teacher.

You will liaise with the class teacher and other teaching and support staff within the team, to ensure that instructions are clarified.

You will administer clear instructions to the class, based on the detailed work set and actively supervise students as they carry out work.

You will inform the teacher of any non-participation by individual students.

You will contribute to the evaluation of work set for cover lessons.

In periods of working time in which you are not required to provide cover you will provide general support appropriate to your skills and experience.

You will attend professional development that falls within your working hours to keep up to date with operational matters and take part as necessary.

You will promote behaviour management within the Academy in accordance with the school’s Behaviour Policy.

You will promote a pride in the Academy and its particular ethos.

Salary & Benefits

NJC 7- 9, from FTE £27,274- £28,153 per annum, pro rata salary £8,201- £8,465
