Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in educational, coaching, youth work or similar settings.
• A degree (in any subject) or equivalent experience working with secondary-aged students.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading groups of students independently.
• A positive, adaptable and proactive approach to working in different school environments.
• Genuine passion for supporting young people's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Supervising whole classes in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students stay engaged with pre-set work.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policy.
• Creating a calm, positive and productive learning environment.
• Providing guidance and encouragement to students where appropriate.
• Reporting on lesson outcomes and any behavioural or safeguarding concerns to teaching staff.
• Supporting the wider school community with professionalism and enthusiasm.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
