Job summary

Llanwern High School is seeking a dedicated classroom supervisor to oversee students during teacher absences. The role involves maintaining order and assisting pupils with set work in a supportive environment. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm, term time only.

Job description

Llanwern High School is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school serving much of the eastern side of Newport. We

are housed in a new building that provides a learning environment and facilities appropriate for a 21st century

school. We currently have just over 1100 pupils on roll.

The main duties of this post will be to:

To supervis whole classes during the short-term absence of a teacher. The main focus of such cover will be to

respond to questions, assist pupils with work set by the class teacher, keeping pupil on task and maintaining order.

Working hours are 8.30am – 3.30pm, Monday to Friday (which equates to 32.5 hours per week), term time only.
