Job summary

Waverley Studio College seeks a dedicated Cover Supervisor to manage daily staff absences and ensure student support during these times. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships within a nurturing educational environment. Waverley Studio College specialises for students from Year 10 – 13. We specialise in health and well-being, creative technology and enterprise. We are a small and unique college catering for 300 students, with a family feel and atmosphere that is growing in strength. We pride ourselves in our students, who behave well and committed to their learning. Our sixth form students do work experience placements every week, in the local community. Our curriculum includes an exclusive enrichment programme to develop their character and softer skill.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for Cover Supervisor to be responsible for arranging day to day cover.

The ideal candidate will have experience of liaising with teaching staff to discuss work set during staff absence, arranging cover using SIMS, supervising students during short term absences, organising the return of completed work to students, assisting with the organisation and production of curriculum materials, assisting with the presentation of display work within curriculum areas, and assisting with general administrative tasks. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to forge strong working relationships within the school. Experience of working in both primary and secondary schools would be an advantage, but not essential. All applicants must be qualified to degree level and must also have a good general standard of education – A* - C in English & Maths.

Please note Cover Is arranged first thing in the morning and you will be required to start work Monday to Thursday 7.00am. – 16.00 and 7.30am to 15.50 on Fridays.
