Job summary

Prospero Teaching is recruiting for Cover Supervisors in Newcastle to support pupils across KS3, KS4 and KS5. The role focuses on maintaining an excellent classroom environment and delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects.

You will manage behaviours, build positive relationships with pupils and staff, and collaborate with other teaching and support staff. QTS or PGCE is desirable, with a valid UK DBS and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or school environment.
• QTS or PGCE desired.
• Ability to build healthy relationships with pupils and staff.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Hold an updated DBS certificate or willingness to process a new application.
• Professional references covering the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Managing behaviours within the classroom and building positive relationships with the pupils.
• Identifying pupils who might be struggling and providing additional support where required and keeping an accurate up-to-date record on progress.

Are you looking for a new cover supervisor opportunity? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are currently recruiting on behalf of Secondary schools looking for Cover Supervisors in Alnwick to support pupils across KS3, KS4 and KS5 . Your role will be focused on maintaining excellent classroom behaviourand supporting students across a range of subjects.

About the role:

• Delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Managing behaviourswithin the classroom and building positive relationships with the pupils, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to succeed.
• Identifying pupils who might be struggling and providing additional support where required and keeping an accurate up to date record on all progress
• Working collaboratively with other teaching and support staff.

Pay, hours and contract:

• Pay: Between £15-17 per hour
• Hours: 8:30am – 15:30pm, Monday – Friday
• Contract: Full time, temporary with the potential of going permanent
• Location: Newcastle

Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience in a similar role or setting, ideally within a school environment
• QTS or PGCE desired
• Confident working within a group setting
• An ability to build healthy relationships with pupils and staff
• Kind, positive and proactive nature
• Right to work in the UK
• Hold an updated DBS certificate on the update service or the willingness to process a new application
• Professional child or care-related references covering the last two years
