Job summary

The Manchester College in Manchester is seeking a part-time Cover Supervisor to support teaching staff and ensure continuity of learning across key subject areas. The role is based at Openshaw campus within the Sport, Public Services and Care Professions Department.

We welcome enthusiastic, adaptable individuals with a passion for education and a background in related fields. The contract is permanent, part-time (21 hours per week) with pro-rata salary and benefits including a Local Government

Qualifications

  • L2 Qualifications in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above).
  • L3 Teaching assistant qualification and/or L3 Certificate in Cover Supervision of Students.
  • Prior experience working in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work off own initiative.
  • Good classroom/group management abilities.
  • Patience and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and within a team.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with young people.

As student numbers continue to rise, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in delivering high-quality learning across key subject areas by supporting teaching staff and stepping into the classroom to ensure continuity and student engagement.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw campus to join our Sport, Public Services and Care Professions Department as a Cover Supervisor on a permanent, part-time (21 hours per week) basis.
