Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support an 11–16 secondary school in North London. This full-time, long-term role offers an immediate start and involves delivering pre-prepared lessons, supervising classes, and maintaining engaging learning environments.

The school, rated Good by Ofsted, values strong behaviour management, excellent communication, and safeguarding. Candidates with experience in secondary settings are preferred; DBS checks will be completed

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of teaching staff

• Provide support and guidance to students when required
• Record attendance and lesson outcomes as directed
• Promote a positive and productive learning environment
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of teaching staff
• Supervise classes across a range of subjects and year groups
• Ensure students remain engaged and on task throughout lessons

• Provide support and guidance to students when required
• Record attendance and lesson outcomes as directed

• Previous experience working with young people is desirable
• Experience within a secondary school setting is advantageous
