Job summary

Cedars Upper School invites applications for a Cover Supervisor to support pupils when class teachers are absent. The role is 35 hours per week, term-time plus five training days, with a permanent contract and a start date as soon as possible.

The successful candidate will cover lessons to maintain high learning standards, while upholding safeguarding standards and working across Cedars Upper School and Linslade School as needed.

• Willingness to undergo child protection screening.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of duties to enhance the learning experiences of pupils in the absence of the class teacher.
• Cover lessons to ensure students have the highest possible level of learning experiences when their teacher is absent.

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: NJC L4 pts 9-14 £23,147 - £25,089 per annum

Contract type: Term Time only plus 5 training days (39 weeks)

Contract term: Permanent

Start date: As soon as possible

Closing date: 9am, Friday 30th October 2026

Currently, we are seeking an exceptional cover supervisor to join our school. The role of the Cover Supervisor is to provide a range of duties to enhance the learning experiences of the pupils in the absence of the class teacher. You would be required to cover lessons to ensure students have the highest possible level of learning experiences when their teacher is absent.
