Overview

Role: Cover Supervisor

Contract: PERMANENT, 39 WEEKS PER YEAR

Hours: 32.5 HOURS per week, Term time plus inset days

Monday - Friday 8.30-3.30

Salary: Scale 6 Point 13 £29064 - Point 17 £31022 FTE (Actual Salary £21886 - £23360)

Closing Date: 15/12/2025 at 12pm Midday

Responsibilities

Supervise class groups during short-term absence of teaching staff, give lesson instructions as provided by a teacher, maintain good order in the classroom, respond to general queries, support other departments when no cover is required.

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal skills, commitment to young people, welfare and education, role model with high expectations of conduct and behaviour. Qualified teacher status not required; applicants with QTS welcome. Experience working with young people is an advantage; full training and induction provided.
