Tradewind Recruitment is seeking experienced Cover Supervisors for day-to-day supply across Chippenham secondary schools from September 2026. This role offers flexible hours and varied experiences across multiple sites.

You will supervise classes, deliver prepared materials and manage student behaviour while adhering to school policies and safeguarding procedures. The position emphasizes reliability, adaptability and effective communication with staff.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes when the regular teacher is unavailable, ensuring students remain focused and learning continues. You may work across different subjects and year groups, following pre-prepared lesson plans and maintaining a well-managed classroom. This role would suit someone who is confident, reliable and organised, with the ability to manage student behaviour effectively and adapt quickly to different school environments. Day-to-day supply offers the flexibility to work when you are available while gaining valuable experience across a range of secondary schools. You do not need to be a subject specialist for every lesson. You will be expected to follow the work provided, communicate instructions clearly and ensure students remain engaged and productive throughout the lesson.
