Job summary

Longford Park Primary School is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join us on a part-time, fixed term contract, delivering and supporting engaging lessons in the absence of the class teacher. You will work closely with teaching staff to maintain high expectations of learning and behaviour across the school.

Job description

Longford Park Primary School is seeking a dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisor, to join us on a part-time, fixed term contract, whilst playing a vital role in supporting high-quality learning across the school. If you are passionate about wanting to make a difference in Children's lives, we would love to hear from you!, In this dynamic position, you will deliver and support engaging lessons in the absence of the subject teacher, ensuring continuity of education while maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement. Working closely with teaching staff and the wider inclusion team, you will motivate and support students of all abilities, provide meaningful feedback on their progress, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment aligned with the school's values and development priorities.

This role is suited to someone who is dedicated, patient, and enthusiastic about helping students reach their full potential.

• Teaching assistant experience
• Good literacy and numeracy skills evidenced by grade 'C' at GCSE (or equivalent) in English & Maths
• Achieved or working towards HLTA qualification
• Able to confidently and competently apply knowledge and skills acquired from training into a practical classroom context
• Ability to relate to, and communicate with, children in and out of the classroom
