Court Usher, Band F

Location: Coventry, CV1 2SN

Office based

Hourly rate: £12.21 per hour

Working Days/Hours: 37 hours per week between 8am - 5pm

Contract: Temporary position estimated to run for 4 months.

Brook Street, in partnership with the Ministry of Justice, offers a fantastic opportunity to join as a court usher. This role provides valuable exposure and experience within the Public Sector.

Experience Needed/Desired:

• Dealing with customers
• Time management
• Basic IT skills
• Ability to handle difficult customers
• Proactive and active presence on the floor
• Multitasking skills

Responsibilities:

• Set up courtrooms and chambers with water and lists
• Participate in team briefings
• Use relevant software
• Data entry, including finding the names of barristers
• Printing documents
• Check people in for hearings
• Assist in locating individuals for hearings
• Arrange for specialist requests
• Receive solicitors and court users

Clearance Level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon successful application):

Enhanced DBS + BPPS

Additional Clearance:

Candidates who have spent 6 months or longer outside the UK in the last 5 years will need to provide an overseas police check, which is the candidate's responsibility.
