Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is recruiting a Security Officer for Guildford Magistrates & Family Court. The role runs Monday to Friday with one Saturday per month, delivering access control, CCTV monitoring and incident response to maintain a safe court environment.

You will work site-based, must hold a valid SIA licence, and pass DBS/BS7858 clearance. The position offers weekend flexibility, training, and career development opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK is required.
• Enhanced DBS and BS7858 security clearance must be passable.
• SIA Licence is essential for this role.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, welcoming service to all court users.
• Control access to the building and follow security procedures.
• Operate CCTV and screening equipment and conduct searches as required.
• Monitor public and restricted areas and communicate with control points.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents and security concerns; report events.
• Support safe and secure movement of people within the building.
