Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Security Officer for Horsham County & Family Court. You will protect people and property, control access, monitor CCTV and screening equipment, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

This site-based role requires an enhanced DBS, BS7858 clearance and a valid SIA licence. You will work Monday to Friday, 0900–1700, delivering high standards of customer service in a regulated public environment.

Qualifications

• Must have right to work in the UK and be able to pass DBS/BS7858 checks.
• Valid SIA licence with security experience.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, reliable and detail-focused approach.
• Good understanding of security procedures and health & safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming, customer-focused service to all court users.
• Control access and ensure security procedures are followed at all times.
• Operate CCTV, screening equipment and alarms as required.
• Conduct searches in line with site procedures.
• Monitor public and restricted areas and report incidents.
• Respond promptly to alarms and security concerns.
• Record and report incidents accurately.
• Support safe movement of people within the building.
• Maintain professionalism and compliance at all times.
