Job summary

Commonwealth Of Virginia is seeking a Deputy Clerk (Grade 9) Assistant Supervisor in the Traffic and Criminal Division. The role supervises staff in the absence of the Supervisor, supports training, and ensures accurate preparation of legal documents in line with state and local policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful applicants will have supervisory experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of office automation systems and computer software.
• Retail cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees in the Supervisor's absence and assist in training.
• Assist in oversight of daily court operations and ensure timely execution of tasks.
• Process court documents and scan all case documents.
• Perform large-volume accurate data entry and alpha/numeric filing.
• Answer the telephone and provide customer service to a diverse population.
• Occasionally perform courtroom duties.
