Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
• DCJS certification is required.
• Experience supervising corrections staff.
• Experience reviewing records and applying post orders.
• Knowledge of security practices and procedures.
• Ability to follow and give oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor staff on assigned shift to ensure a safe, secure environment.
• Lead and counsel staff; coordinate work schedules and duty rosters.
• Contribute to performance management through staff evaluations and inspections.
• Interact with management, staff, visitors, inmates, and the public to maintain orderly operations.
