Job summary

Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust seeks a Service Manager to lead Rehabilitation Services across the North and West Directorates, with county-wide oversight of the Recovery and Wellbeing College. The role covers inpatient and community rehabilitation, bed management, and delivery of clinical, operational and financial outcomes.

You will partner with other providers, use data to drive improvements, ensure governance and quality, and recruit and manage staff including Team Managers.

Qualifications

• Recognised professional qualification in social work (DipSW/CQSW), mental health nursing (RMN), psychology or allied health profession.
• First degree required.
• Continuing professional development evidenced to Master's level or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operationally lead rehabilitation inpatient and community services across the North and West Directorates.
• Ensure efficient bed use and strong clinical, operational and financial outcomes.
• Assure clinical quality, patient safety and outcomes meet high standards.
• Lead investigations into serious incidents, complaints and staffing issues.
• Recruit, train, supervise and appraise staff, including Team Managers.
• Manage patient flow using demand and capacity data and clinical pathways.
• Embed clinical governance and drive service development and performance.
• Translate the trust's vision and values into practice.
• Collaborate with other providers to enable seamless patient pathways.
• Use data analytics to coordinate improvement plans and drive growth opportunities.
