Job summary

Kinaxia Daventry is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Driver to join our warehouse team on a night shift. You will help ensure goods are received, stored and dispatched safely and accurately.

This role requires a valid UK forklift licence and proven warehouse experience, with a strong eye for detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Valid UK/EU Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance).
• Experience operating a forklift within a warehouse.
• Confident loading and unloading a variety of vehicle types.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience using scanning equipment.
• Good IT literacy and numerical skills.
• Reliable, hardworking and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading pallets from vehicles.
• Off-loading incoming goods into the warehouse.
• Reviewing goods-in paperwork and checking collections.
• Ensuring correct items are dispatched by verifying locations.
• Unloading goods into storage locations.
• Allocating pallets into warehouse racking safely and accurately.
• Completing warehouse and stock location documentation.
• Wrapping pallets for storage and distribution.
• Maintaining safe working practices and housekeeping.

About The Role

As a Counterbalance Driver, you will play a key role in ensuring goods are received, stored and dispatched efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading pallets from vehicles
• Off-loading incoming goods into the warehouse
• Reviewing goods-in paperwork and checking collections
• Comparing notes and locations to ensure the correct items are selected for dispatch
• Unloading goods into storage locations
• Allocating pallets into warehouse racking safely and accurately
• Completing warehouse and stock location documentation
• Wrapping pallets ready for storage and distribution
• Maintaining safe working practices and excellent housekeeping standards

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

• Valid UK/EU Forklift Truck Licence (Counterbalance)
• Previous experience operating a Forklift Truck within a warehouse environment
• Confident loading and unloading a variety of vehicle types
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Experience using scanning equipment
• Good IT literacy skills
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
