Job Advert in St Neots is seeking an experienced FLT & Machine Operative for a busy industrial processing environment. You will operate a Counterbalance forklift and other machinery in a hands-on role.

The ideal candidate is reliable, practical and comfortable around machinery, with previous experience in manufacturing, agriculture or a similar industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance forklift trucks safely and efficiently.
• Operate and monitor specialist processing and cleaning machinery.
• Load, unload and move materials around the site.
• Monitor machinery and report faults or issues.
• Carry out routine checks on machinery and equipment.
• Support general production and processing duties.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across the area.
• Follow health & safety and company procedures at all times.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily operational needs.

Counterbalance & Machine Operative

Location: St Neots
Hours:7am-3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £13.50 per hour

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT & Machine Operative to join a busy industrial processing environment in St Neots.

This is a hands-on role involving the operation of specialist machinery, alongside using a Counterbalance Forklift to move materials around the site.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, practical and comfortable working around machinery. Previous experience within agriculture, manufacturing, production or another industrial environment would be highly advantageous.

Duties of an FLT & Machine Operative:

• Operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks safely and efficiently.
• Operating and monitoring specialist processing and cleaning machinery.
• Loading, unloading and moving materials around the site.
• Monitoring machinery throughout the operation and reporting any faults or issues.
• Carrying out routine checks on machinery and equipment.
• Supporting general production and processing duties.
• Ensuring materials are handled and stored correctly.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the working area.
• Following health & safety and company procedures at all times.
• Working as part of a team to ensure daily operational requirements are met.
• Taking responsibility for the safe and correct use of machinery and equipment.

What we would like from you:

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence/certificate is essential.
• Previous experience operating machinery is highly desirable.
• Experience within agriculture, manufacturing, production, warehouse, food processing or another industrial environment would be advantageous.
• Experience operating cleaning, processing or agricultural machinery would be particularly beneficial.
• A practical, hands-on approach to work.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Comfortable working around machinery and following set processes.
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
