Job summary

A1 Jobs Ltd is seeking a skilled Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our client site in Perth, Scotland. The role focuses on safe, efficient material handling, loading/unloading, and accurate inventory control within a busy warehouse environment.

You will work with WMS, perform routine equipment checks, and support shipping/receiving activities while maintaining high health and safety standards. This in-person role offers opportunities to develop warehouse skills in a dynamic logistics

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating counterbalance forklifts in a busy warehouse.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
• Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair.
• Strong materials handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely.
• Previous experience in shipping & receiving operations is advantageous.
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
• Basic maths skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory counts.
• Warehouse experience demonstrating familiarity with health & safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
• Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, organising, and relocating stock as required
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance of any issues
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accordingly
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to adhere to health and safety standards
• Support other warehouse activities such as stocktaking, order picking, and packing as needed
