Job summary

Osborne Appointments is urgently recruiting a Counterbalance/PPT Forklift Driver for a site in Bedford. Duties include loading/unloading, moving stock and preparing orders to dispatch, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Two shift options are available, 07:00–16:00 or 15:00–Midnight, Monday to Friday, with immediate start. A valid Counterbalance FLT licence and PPT training are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence with proven warehouse experience.
• PPT training/licence required.
• Experience loading/unloading and moving stock.
• Strong health & safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance forklift and PPT to move stock.
• Load and unload deliveries safely.
• Pick and move stock for dispatch/production.
• Perform daily equipment checks and keep warehouse organized.
• Follow health and safety procedures and assist team.

Role: Counterbalance / PPT Forklift Driver

Location: Bedford

Hours: Monday to Friday - Two shifts available 07:00AM - 16:00PM OR 15:00PM - Midnight

Salary: £14.50 an hour, weekly pay

OA are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Counterbalance / PPT Driver to join a well established company based in Bedford, to support the team unloading and loading stock.

Duties of a Counterbalance Forklift Driver:

• Safely operate Counterbalance Forklift and Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) equipment to move and store stock
• Load and unload deliveries, ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently.
• Pick, prepare and move stock/materials for dispatch and production.
• Complete daily equipment checks and maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse.
• Follow all health & safety procedures and support the wider warehouse team as required.

What we would like from you:

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence with proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment.
• PPT experience and relevant training/licence required.
• Previous warehouse experience, including loading/unloading and moving stock.
• Strong awareness of health & safety and safe working practices.
• Reliable, hardworking and comfortable working as part of a busy warehouse team.
