Job summary

CHEP UK Ltd. is seeking a Counterbalance FLT Driver for our South Ockendon site. You will operate 4.5-ton triple fork FLTs in a busy yard, supporting production and haulier operations. The role offers a daily rotation on double days, with a full-time permanent contract and a salary of £34,349.31 per year plus 20% shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Experience as Counterbalance FLT Driver in a busy yard preferred.
• External FLT licence (RTITB or ITSSAR) preferred, in-house licences considered.
• Experience with double/triple fork FLTs is a big advantage.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate FLT trucks to support production & haulier operations.
• Direct visiting vehicles during loading & unloading.
• Maintain smooth flow on production lines within agreed SLAs.
• Assist with manual inspection & repair of yard equipment.
• Report any damage or operational issues promptly.
• Handle and rotate stock safely and efficiently.
