Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic Talking Therapies Counsellor for Depression (Band 6/7) to join our primary care Mental Health Service. The role is full-time 30 hours hybrid, requiring accredited practitioner with experience in depression, equity and diversity, and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

You will deliver high-intensity therapy within a supportive team, contribute to service development, and participate in learning opportunities and flexible

Qualifications

• Qualified NHS Talking Therapies High Intensity CFD Practitioner.
• Accreditation with BACP or equivalent is essential.
• Counselling for Depression qualification desirable; funded to obtain.
• Experience with diverse populations in primary care.
• DIT qualification welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective, evidence-based therapy to individuals with depressive symptoms.
• Work within the Talking Therapies service delivering primary care mental health care.
• Flexibly manage a hybrid schedule with up to two days of face-to-face sessions.
• Collaborate with CWPT and partner organisations to improve access.

NHS Talking Therapies (Hi Intensity) Counsellor for Depression - Band 6/7 Development role

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust works alongside Coventry and Warwickshire MIND to deliver the Talking Therapies Service across Coventry and Warwickshire.

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic and self-motivated Person Centred- Experiential Counsellor for Depression (Accredited) Therapist is now available within the Talking Therapies Counselling Team. The team provides a Primary Care Talking Therapies Service for clients experiencing symptoms of Depression.

We are looking for a practitioner who is skilled in providing effective, evidence-based therapy to individuals experiencing symptoms of depression. We would particularly welcome interest from therapists who can demonstrate previous experience of working within diverse populations in a primary care setting.

The post will be suitable for qualified NHS Talking Therapies High Intensity CFD Practitioners. Accreditation with BACP or other recognised counselling body is essential. Completion of the Counselling for Depression Qualification would be desirable however we would fund and support the successful applicant to gain this.*Please note the role would be paid at band 6 until this is achieved.

• We would also really welcome applications for applicants with a DIT (Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy) qualification.

Please be aware that we do not support condensed hours for our Therapists and the post will operate over 4 days between the hours of 8am and 6pm. This is a hybrid role and would require up to 2 days of face to face sessions however this may change dependant on the needs of the service.
