Cost Planner/Senior Cost Planner - Aviation

Owing to continued demand and our ambitious plans for growth, Turner & Townsend are looking to recruit Cost Planners and Senior Cost Planners with proven experience in the Infrastructure sector (Rail, Airports, Highways, Power, Water, or Utilities).

Cost Planners support clients by providing estimates and cost plans, either embedded within client organizations or through ad-hoc projects across the Infrastructure sector. While most work is for UK-based clients, opportunities for remote work from the UK on global estimating tasks are available.

Key deliverables include:

  • Estimate Production from Order of Magnitude to detailed estimates based on first principles
  • Estimating support for major programme setup

Responsibilities include:

  • Producing accurate and timely estimates and cost plans
  • Managing the estimating process at project level
  • Supporting estimation best practices and departmental objectives
  • Staying updated on technical developments to provide best practice advice
  • Supporting change control and value-for-money demonstrations
  • Commercial assurance and negotiation with contractors

Qualifications:

  • High standard of estimating or Quantity Surveying with relevant experience
  • Experience with estimating software
  • Membership of a relevant professional body, ideally chartered (e.g., RICS, CIOB, A. Cost E.)
