Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy is seeking an experienced Cost Manager for an infrastructure, construction and railway transportation organisation in Birmingham. This permanent role offers hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, starting ASAP.

You will support the Head of Cost and Estimating at programme and contract level, handling budgets, actual costs, forecasts and Earned Value Management to ensure successful delivery of the project.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost management or project control within a major project.
• Experience in core project controls functions including baseline maintenance, schedule management, cost performance, change management and risk management.
• Ability to produce performance reports summarising cost performance (budgets, EVM, forecasts).
• Knowledge of cost management systems such as Prism and Ecosys.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Cost and Estimating at programme and contract level.
• Manage budgets, actual costs, forecasts and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Develop contract level performance reports and communicate current performance to the programme team.
• Ensure cost performance processes are followed and data maintained in corporate systems.
• Provide technical support to Project Controls Managers on cost performance and assist contractor teams.
