Maxim Recruitment is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Cost Management in Birmingham to lead cost management across major infrastructure commissions including rail, highways, energy and water. The role combines delivery, team leadership, client management and business development within a growing consultancy environment.

Qualifikationen

• Significant cost management and quantity surveying experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Strong infrastructure cost management experience within rail, highways, water, energy or similar sectors.
• Previous experience managing teams and delivering multiple commissions preferred.
• Excellent understanding of cost planning, cost control, benchmarking and commercial management.
• Knowledge of cost and work breakdown structures and recognised methods of measurement.
• Experience with NEC and other major construction contract forms.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management and wider project controls principles.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to challenge project and engineering teams.
• Experience contributing to business development and growing client accounts.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead the delivery of cost management services across multiple major infrastructure commissions.
• Manage and develop Cost Managers and other members of the project team.
• Provide technical leadership, quality assurance and commercial oversight.
• Build strong relationships with existing and new clients.
• Support business development, bids and account management activities.
• Monitor project cost performance, risks and commercial outcomes.
• Develop cost management processes, benchmarking and reporting capabilities.
• Work closely with project controls, engineering and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support recruitment and team growth.
• Promote continuous improvement and high standards of client service.
