Job summary

DARA PEOPLE LTD. is seeking a PQS/Cost Consultant to join a client-side consultancy supporting a national programme across the UK and Ireland.

You will work in a hybrid model, handling cost planning, procurement and commercial management for a portfolio of projects from early planning through to final accounts. Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Quantity Surveying or cost management.
• Background in PQS, cost consultancy or client-side Quantity Surveying.
• Strong experience in cost planning, procurement, tendering and cost reporting.
• Confident managing multiple projects and working directly with clients.
• Good Excel skills and attention to detail.
• MRICS qualification or working towards chartership would be beneficial but isn't essential.

PQS / Cost Consultant – Client Side

Location: Northwich - Cheshire

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: up to £55K

About the Role

We’re looking for a PQS / Cost Consultant to join a consultancy supporting a major national programme of construction projects across the UK and Ireland.

This is a client-facing role, working across a portfolio of projects covering new builds, refurbishments and property improvements.

You’ll be involved in projects from early cost planning and feasibility through to procurement, commercial management and final accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans, estimates and feasibility budgets.
• Manage cost reporting, forecasting and cashflows.
• Support tender processes, including tender analysis and contractor recommendations.
• Manage valuations, variations and change control.
• Monitor project budgets, risks and commercial performance.
• Work directly with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Support commercial reporting across multiple live projects.

What We're Looking For
