United Utilities in Warrington, UK, is hiring a Cost Manager to lead cost management across a capital portfolio within the PMO. The role focusses on robust budgeting, forecasting, governance and accurate reporting to key stakeholders.

You will partner with Project Managers, Planning and Risk teams to drive informed decisions and ensure high quality performance data for customers across the North West. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost management, forecasting and financial performance.
• Ability to analyse complex project and financial data to identify trends.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project cost management across a portfolio of capital projects with budgets and forecasts.
• Provide cost insight, performance analysis and challenge to support decisions.
• Develop and maintain cost management processes, controls and governance.
• Manage commitments, accruals, forecasting and cost reporting to stakeholders.
• Analyse Earned Value Management data and cost trends to provide recommendations.
• Evaluate changes and maintain baselines to keep costs aligned with objectives.
