Job summary

THE COMPANY

We are working alongside Brand Energy & Infrastructure Services (one-third of Aberdeen based PBS by Ponticelli).

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for assisting with the day‑to‑day financial control of assigned project/s ensuring adherence to budget and preparing cost estimates by analysing proposals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with overseeing project costs throughout all phases of a project
• Prepare cost estimates by analysing proposals
• Create invoice documents and cost reports for both clients and internally for distribution
• Assist with reviewing contracts and purchase orders from clients to understand all aspects and dynamics affecting the project
• Assist with the confirmation, status and plan for job packages, hours and any other costs relating to the project
• Identify labour, material and time requirements and computing costs
• Assist with Month End closing
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the cost control function and provision of robust financial reporting.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• Previous experience working in a cost control role, ideally supporting a large project.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise and plan work tasks accordingly to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work within a collaborative team environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office
