Job summary

Octagon Group in Avonmouth, Bristol is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to lead the cost control sub-discipline within our project controls function. Based in Avonmouth, Bristol, the role requires owning cost control standards, templates, and integrated reporting across projects.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Project Controls and guide junior staff while driving portfolio-level cost insights.

Qualifications

• At least four years in cost control on large-scale projects.
• Experience in a centralised PMO function is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to design templates and standards.
• Ability to mentor staff across multiple teams and lead a cost control function.
• Proven experience producing integrated cost reporting for diverse project portfolios.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cost Controller to join a leading project controls function in Avonmouth, Bristol. This high-impact role is responsible for delivering integrated cost reporting across a diverse portfolio of projects, while continuously refining the tools and processes that underpin successful delivery.

Based in Avonmouth, Bristol, the Cost Controller will own the cost control sub-discipline, setting standards, designing templates, and ensuring consistency across all projects. Acting as the subject matter expert, they will engage with other project controls disciplines to create integrated solutions and provide guidance on complex cost queries.

Key duties for the Cost Controller in Avonmouth, Bristol include:

An established Cost Controller in Avonmouth, Bristol will bring six or more years experience, with proven expertise in cost control, management of junior staff, and a track record of delivering high-quality portfolio reporting.
