Cost Controller, Finance

SHIFT PATTERN (40 hours, 5 days per week)

About the job

Based at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair within the Finance Department in London, the Cost Controller is responsible for the smooth running of the Finance team.

As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for the following duties:

1. Ensuring all food, beverage, tobacco, and other F&B related stock deliveries are correctly recorded in the inventory stock control system.
2. Ensuring all F&B stock requisitions and issues are correctly recorded and allocated to the relevant cost centre (e.g., restaurant, bar, cellar, dry goods store).
3. Checking and authorizing delivery documentation with the Purchasing department before inputting into the accounting system.
4. Properly inputting transfers of items between cost centres into the stock system.
5. Carrying out monthly stock takes in all areas: beverage, tobacco, mini bar.
6. Reconciling supplier statements monthly; producing schedules for the Finance Controller and resolving queries directly with suppliers.
7. Ensuring all menu prices and price lists throughout the hotel are accurate in the POS system.
8. Investigating variances and reporting findings to the Head of Purchasing and Management Accountant regularly.
9. Assisting the Management Accountant & Finance Controller with other related tasks as required.
