Job summary

Halecroft Recruitment Limited is seeking a Finance Assistant – Cost Control to join a growing finance team in a hands-on, office-based role. You will process invoices, reconcile supplier accounts, and support cost control activities, with exposure to CIS and retention tracking as part of ongoing ERP development.

AAT part-qualification and strong Excel skills are desirable for progression. This permanent, Monday–Friday role offers stability and a clear long-term career path within a busy finance

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts/finance or administrative role.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Experience with invoice processing and supplier communications.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of cost of sales, agency and supplier invoices within timescales.
• Complete 3-way matching between purchase orders, goods received notes and invoices.
• Manage the Accounts Department inbox and respond to supplier queries promptly.
• Conduct regular supplier statement reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with aged items on the GRNI report and resolve issues.
• Process monthly credit card reconciliations and staff expenses.
