Job summary

Sizewell C is seeking a Cost Assurance Assistant to support the Independent Cost Verifier team, ensuring costs align with contract rules and budgets for a major nuclear build. You’ll gain exposure to budget protection, forecasting, and financial controls within a large-scale project environment.

Ideal candidates have a Finance degree, basic cost control and auditing experience, plus strong Excel and data skills.

Qualifications

• A degree in Finance, or a related field.
• Basic experience in cost control, auditing within construction or engineering.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and cost management software.
• High accuracy in handling numbers, contracts, and financial records.
• Clear verbal and written communication to discuss costs with ICV teams.
• Prior work on nuclear or highly regulated infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with standard construction contracts like NEC or FIDIC.
• Experience with SAP or specialized cost-tracking databases.

Responsibilities

• Audit Support: Help gather financial documents and data for internal and external cost audits.
• Reporting: Prepare follow up dashboards, charts, and summaries of variances for the IP’s and CWA Commercial and Finance Team.
• Compliance: Ensure all financial and procurement actions follow internal procedures.
