Job summary

Sizewell C Company seeks an Independent Assessor to support the Civil Works Alliance in assuring civils, manufacture, fabrication, tunnelling and offshore scopes. You will audit against the CWA CQAP, ISO 9001/19443, and SZC/ONR requirements, delivering objective, evidence-based findings to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Nuclear QA and regulatory expectations
• Ability to deliver independent audits and credible challenge
• Experience in risk-based assurance and governance oversight
• Strong analytical capability to assess compliance and system effectiveness
• Independent, objective and integrity-driven approach
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent audit and assurance across civils, manufacture, fabrication, tunnelling and offshore scopes.
• Conduct supplier audits, surveillance and governance reviews.
• Track and close quality enablers and residual actions.
• Provide evidence-based challenge to programme and supply chain teams.
• Align assurance with Hold Point process for SZC decisions and regulatory engagement.
• Identify systemic weaknesses and recommend improvements with SMEs.
• Support cross-project learning and promote Right First Time culture.
