Job summary

Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is seeking a Construction Senior Procurement Manager to drive procurement strategy and delivery for the Sizewell C programme. You will lead the contracting plan, manage complex supplier relationships, and ensure robust governance across a nuclear construction project, delivering value while mitigating risk.

The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to meet challenging timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction procurement and understanding of interfaces and relationships within complex projects.
• Good communication skills (verbal & written).
• Deliver robust procurement strategies across large-scale projects.
• Ability to focus on targets and work under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Has delivered demonstrable added value through procurement activity.

Responsibilities

• Implement the Contracting Strategy and Delivery & Contracting Plan as directed by Procurement Lead.
• Deliver Procurement and Supply Chain commitments within the Programme Alliance Agreement.
• Work with peers to mitigate market risk and deliver project-wide efficiencies.
• Develop strategic and tactical plans to ensure Project has appropriate supply chain resources.
• Ensure supply chain performance meets operational and commercial requirements.
• Lead negotiations to achieve best value and manage risk.
• Support tendering, market analysis, supplier selection, risk and opportunity assessments, forecasting requirements.
• Attract, build, develop and retain the right-sized team with the right mindset.
• Provide ethical and compliant procurement in line with governance and nuclear regulations.
• Develop the project supplier database linked to Compete For and monitor market engagement.
• Monitor markets and provide alternative procurement strategies to maximise opportunities or minimise risk.
• Develop relationships with suppliers, sub-contractors and service providers for best value.
• Assist in local, diverse and SME engagement strategies and events.
• Lead the implementation of Sustainable Procurement Plan.
• Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
