• AAT qualified or part ACCA/CIMA qualified.
• Strong Excel skills, experience in using Pivot tables and advanced formulas.

A manufacturing client of ours in the Maldon area are recruiting a Part Time Cost Accountant to join their team. This is a part-time permanent position working 25 - 30 hours Monday - Friday (flexible on how this is worked) and paying £30,000 - £35,000 (FTE) per annum depending on experience.

Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, your key duties include but are not limited to:

• Materials and finished goods costs - Including purchase ledger and variance analysis
• Weekly/Monthly Production output reporting to Directors and Group
• Stocks - Control, valuation and reporting
• Standard cost - Support for budget process, calculating costs for new parts and customers tenders
• Monitoring Operations costs against budget and supporting reporting of Operations KPI's
• Cover for weekly/monthly payroll and HR administration
• Monthly accounts to trial balance including accruals and prepayments.
• Maintain fixed asset register and capital expenditure reporting
• Assist with VAT returns/compliance.
• Cover for creditors payments
• Maintenance of product structures
• ERP system administration
• Support completion of Annual Accounts and year-end audit.

Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Cost Accountant position:

• AAT qualified or part ACCA/CIMA qualified.
• Strong Excel skills, experience in using Pivot tables and advanced formulas.
• Experience in using an ERP system.
• Cost Accounting or similar experience essential.
• Manufacturing and Production industry experience.
