Job summary

Northampton-based accountancy practice is seeking a Corporate Tax Senior / Assistant Manager to blend advisory work with complex compliance tasks.

The role focuses on delivering strategic tax advice, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior staff, with flexible hybrid hours and CPD support.

Ideal candidates are ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent, possess solid tax legislation knowledge, and show excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and HMRC.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and cultivate client relationships, ensuring tax services are executed efficiently and effectively
• Provide tax advice to individuals, partnerships, company's and trusts
• Oversee tax compliance, ensuring submissions are accurate and timely
• Identify, investigate, and resolve complex tax issues, providing clear and comprehensive solutions
• Supervise and mentor tax staff, fostering a constructive and supportive learning environment
• Liaise with HMRC and other regulatory bodies when required

What we are looking for:

• ATT/CTA qualified or equivalent relevant tax advisory experience from within a practice environment
• Proficient understanding of the tax legislation and the practical application
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities
