Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Post qualified ACA, CTA, CA or ACCA experience within insurance either in industry or a large accountancy firm
Skills and Demonstrated Experience:
- A strong knowledge of UK Corporation Tax
- Good experience in tax accounting packages and good excel skills and ERP systems (Workday or similar)
- Must be well organised and self-motivated with a consistent record of delivery
- Enthusiastic and eager to achieve in a high performing team
- Excellent stakeholder management, relationship building and influencing skills at senior management level
- An effective communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to share ideas with others in a way that can be easily understood
The Role:
Reporting in to the Head of Tax, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the direct tax compliance and reporting processes.
As part of the Antares Global tax team, you will work closely with their Qatar tax colleague and their global finance team. Their team leads all aspects of planning and strategic support, direct and indirect tax compliance and tax accounting for Antares Global and its subsidiaries.
Key Accountabilities:

- Responsible for the preparation and reporting of the group quarterly Antares Global tax provisions under IFRS and liaison with the Qatar tax team
- Preparation and reporting of BEPS Pillar Two top up taxes for both QIC Group and local jurisdictional level
- Local GAAP statutory tax reporting (preparation of provisions and disclosures along with tax balance reconciliations as part of the year-end process

- Ability to manage budgets and time to deliver a quality output

Accountabilities:
- Planning and forecasting; solvency II; management reporting
- Tax cash payments and tax forecasting
- Preparation of impact assessment models and gap-fit analysis based on the ERP reporting system (workday)
- Support with developing tax compliance solutions and identify opportunities for efficiencies through greater automation of tax reporting and compliance processes
- Delivery of outsource provision and compliance services for BEPS Pillar Two compliance
Key Performance Indicators:
- Organized with an ability to deliver tax accounting in a short timeframe
- An ability to distil complex concepts into simple high-level messages
- Ability to manage budgets and time to deliver a quality output
- Accurate submissions
- Proactive resolution of queries within specifies timescales
Accountabilities:
- Managing direct tax compliance for direct UK, European and Bermuda tax returns (outsourced)
- Preparation and submission of information to Lloyd's for centrally-prepared returns

- Proactive resolution of queries within specifies timescales
Accountabilities:
- Maintaining Group and Local tax process documentation, understanding end to end processes and ensuring control processes are operating optimally in order to support internal risk control sign off procedures and the obligations of the Senior Accounting Officer

- Maintain clear, accurate and up to date documentation
- Identify and highlight any tax issues and take corrective action as necessary
Accountabilities:
- Support the Transformation team providing tax input to planning and implementation of new finance systems

Accountabilities:
- Proactively identifying and supporting improvements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of direct tax reporting and the tax account reconciliation processes

- Maintain clear, accurate and up to date documentation
- Identify and highlight any tax issues and take corrective action as necessary
Accountabilities:
- Supporting Head of Tax with finance/ legal/ tax - driven projects, which can include working with external advisers

- Support tax aspects of corporate M&A, tax projects and other group projects
- Demonstrate proactive problem solving and project management
- Comply with deadlines
Accountabilities:
- Ensuring that the Antares Global Head of Tax is made aware of any direct tax issues, exposures or opportunities
- Assist Head of Tax on quarterly tax report to Finance Committee.
- Monitoring Uncertain Tax Provisions for Antares Global entities
Key Performance Indicators:
- Regular updates delivered in a proactive format
- Demonstrate proactive problem solving and project management
- Positive communication and feedback
Accountabilities:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of all areas of the QIC/Antares Global business

Accountabilities:
- To be aware and adhere to all obligations under GDPR, ensuring that the business complies with these requirements
- To avoid breaches and to report them to the Data Protection Officer when they occur regardless of whether electronic or on paper

- Adherence to Antares Global policies and procedures in relation to GDPR
- Timely completion of ongoing training in relation to GDPR
