Job description

We are searching for an experienced Corporate Tax Associate.

About the department

When you become part of our team, you’ll discover a culture celebrating individuality, fresh thinking, flexibility and collaboration, whilst not only embracing change but impacting it. We’re simply not a one-size-fits-all firm and work hard to create an environment where our people can make a difference - to themselves, their career, their teams, and to the success of RSM and our clients.

Our National Corporate Tax Service Line works with clients across a broad range of business types and sectors, from owner-managed businesses and middle market organisations to large multinational groups. We manage their tax affairs on the compliance side whilst also acting as expert advisors when planning matters arise. The latter includes, but is not limited to, due diligence, transactions and restructuring, as well as innovation reliefs.

About the opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing tax team at an incredibly exciting part of our growth journey. Due to recent senior hires and client wins, we are looking to expand our team with a Corporate Tax Associate near one of our Southern Region offices, such as Guildford, Reading, Gatwick or Southampton. You will have the opportunity to accelerate your knowledge, skills, and development in a creative, entrepreneurial, and supportive environment, working with a diverse range of clients.

The Corporate Tax Associate will be a key part of a high-performing tax compliance and advisory team supporting entrepreneurial companies and their owners across sectors like technology, manufacturing, leisure & tourism, retail, professional services, and construction.

  • Be part of a high-performing team supporting and advising a variety of interesting, fast-growing, and entrepreneurial companies, as well as larger corporates and international clients.
  • Serve as a primary contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and planning work delivery.
  • Understand the firm’s capabilities and relevant economic factors affecting clients.
  • Deliver high-quality corporation tax compliance services and handle queries from HMRC.
  • Provide technically accurate, clear, and concise tax advice addressing client challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other departments to deliver integrated services and identify tax risks and opportunities.
  • Continuously develop your skills, knowledge, and capabilities for the benefit of clients and personal growth.
About the ideal candidate
  • ATT qualified or ACA, ACCA, or CTA part-qualified.
  • Experience in an accountancy practice with solid knowledge of corporate tax.
  • Proven client handling experience and managing a busy portfolio.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with specialist tax software is advantageous.
