Your new company
My client is a leader in its sector providing logistics services to clients. They have a wide-ranging portfolio of services across 5 divisions of services. They are a worldwide organisation operating across a global network and are focused on service, quality and sustainability. Due to a retirement from the team after long service, there is a new position available. The team is very stable, across all taxes there are 15 people in the team, 4 focusing on corporation tax. This is a UK-focused role, but does have an element of transfer pricing involved.

  • Preparing UK corporate tax computations and filing returns, producing tax disclosures for inclusion in statutory accounts
  • Dealing with tax technical issues as they arise.
  • Dealing with tax audit queries from Deloitte.
  • Preparing transfer pricing documentation, taking into account the Group's transfer pricing policy and other transfer pricing aspects. Prior experience is not a necessity as training will be provided.
  • Manage internal queries regarding transfer pricing matters, e.g., determination of transfer prices involving one division or cross-divisional transactions.
  • Assist with the Group's year-end and quarterly reporting under IFRS and Prior Year Adjustment calculations
  • Assist with reviewing the UK Group's CFC position, process improvements and making appropriate claims and elections.
  • Liaise with HMRC on issues as they arise and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with other tax colleagues in the worldwide group to deal with withholding tax issues, residency certificates, US tax forms, and other overseas issues.
